Senior Accountant

We operate one of the most advanced electric vehicle fleets on the market - from premium Tesla cars, through large-scale delivery fleets for partners like Glovo, to modern taxi operations developed with Bolt under our BETER brand.

Our proprietary Eternis App supports drivers and couriers end-to-end: onboarding, real-time operations, performance tracking, and full transparency of earnings.

What you will be responsible for:

Accounting & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Romanian statutory regulations.

• Supervise preparation and submission of tax declarations (VAT, CIT, payroll taxes, local taxes).

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closings.

• Coordinate statutory financial statements and cooperation with auditors.

• Ensure correct treatment of fleet accounting (leasing, depreciation, insurance, damages, provisions).

• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and approval workflows.

Process Design & Automation

• Design scalable accounting processes adapted to a high-volume, operational business (drivers, couriers, multi-vertical model).

• Lead the creation of a dedicated accounting module in the internal IT system for:

• Automated settlement of PFA drivers

• Automated invoice generation

• Reconciliation of platform payouts (Bolt, etc.)

• Cost allocation (fleet, insurance, repairs, commissions)

• Eliminate manual work and paper-based processes (STOP: manual bureaucracy) in line with Strategy 2026. 

• Define KPIs for accounting efficiency and automation level.

Financial Reporting & Business Support

• Prepare monthly management reporting for Romania (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet).

• Deliver unit economics analysis:

• Revenue per driver

• Margin per vehicle

• Cost per active driver

• Fleet utilization vs. profitability

• Support Country Manager Romania in achieving profitability target (Net Profit > 0 by end of 2026). 

• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve EBITDA and operational efficiency.

Cost Discipline & Financial Governance

• Ensure financial prudence in line with company value of cost-awareness and profitability focus. 

• Monitor overhead costs and identify optimization opportunities.

• Support budget preparation and monitor execution vs. plan.

• Introduce structured approval limits and expense policies.

Who we’re looking for

You are a strong fit if you bring:

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in accounting.

• Previous experience working with PFAs.

• Experience working with SAGA or other local accounting software.

• Experience as a Senior Accountant / Accounting Specialist.

• Good knowledge of Romanian tax and accounting regulations.

• Experience in high-volume environments (fleet, logistics, gig economy, e-commerce, tech or similar is a plus).

• Experience working with structured processes and accounting systems.

• Strong attention to detail and ownership of accounting tasks.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Comfortable working in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.

• Analytical mindset and ability to work with data and financial reports.

• High reliability, accountability and organizational skills.

• Cost awareness and a practical approach to financial discipline.

• Openness to raising issues and improving processes in line with the company’s culture of transparency.
